Botanical Gardens

New Look Botanical Print 3/4 Sleeve Tile Tunic

Hi guys, this awesome tunic dress from New Look is an amazing piece for upcoming Spring season but as a casual day dress I thought it definitely needed a pair of black sheer tights as it did come up quite short on me but only when sitting down. I paired this dress with my high heeled, black ankle booties from Forever 21 and my Zara mini office city bag. For me, there wasn't a need for any necklaces to be worn with this dress as the floral print has a lot going on. But maybe some casual low heeled boots and frilly socks would work perfectly in the summer!

What floral's are you loving?

Hi all, Valentines is less than a week away and I know that depending on how long you have been with your other half for, whether it be a week, month, year or years (or it may even be a secret admirer) - it can still get a little difficult on picking out a gift/s for your loved one. And as always, it is easier to choose valentine gifts for the ladies so I've just put together a few ideas on what you could buy the man or woman in your life.

New Year, New Treats

Happy New Year!

So its 2014 which for me has come around ever so quick, there's a lot that needs to be done this year but I won't reveal all just yet. One major thing is to get blogging and do some more blogging. Keeping on top of things and being more organised is a must! I know some people don't have 'New Years Resolutions' and think of it as empty hopefuls but to be honest, personally I don't quite gel well with the concept. For me, a race against time, not a patience one me.
Anyway I want to show you all the little and big things I have treated myself to this January *so far*. Its quite a random mix such as socks - because as my mother says my fetish's just keep on growing  - I'm sure last month it was hats :)

These adorable floral boxes that come in three different sizes were so worth £8.00 from ASDA. I bought them purely because I knew I would use them somehow. And as I already said I want to be more organised this year and one way to start is to buy storage :) haha so I did and they are so pretty in my room so far I have only use the two bigger sizes for my scarves and hats.

My fetish this week, or month are socks preferable black socks or dark coloured socks but with some kind of detail because for me dark coloured socks make my feet look smaller even if I am a size 4/5. Oddity, I know. Grabbed from ASDA at £3. On the hunt for way more.

My two new ASOS Jumpers! I am loving winter my absolute favourite season. *Minus the vicious winds and rain.* It's so easy to style Jumpers and Knitwear hence why I am still buying them I love the dark red shades such as red wine, aubergine, burgundy, prune, maroon and so on and so on. *I also purchased the burgundy Jumper in Navy*

Candles! Another fetish as I like to call them just like my mother does when she teases me about my non stop shopping splurges.
I bought my other half Umesh, the Yankee 12 Sampler Christmas Book Gift Set and I did manage to steal myself one. Although it was lovely that we both said for me to take some of the ones I liked :) I forgot so as for now I have zilch. I bought a couple from ASDA for £1 - I chose one and Ume chose one except I've still got both and both smell delish'. I then came across the new Febreeze candles that I couldn't resist for £2, I love the size of them too.

My two ASOS chunky knit scarves are my Winter favourites this month because I don't own any. I was looking for some cream coloured ones as I'm more suited towards black and neutral colours but failed. :(

Any new goodies you have treated yourself to?

Again, Happy New Year to you all x

Cut out boots

Three things I love about cut out boots

  • Edgy look to spice up an outfit *buckles and gold detailing*
  • Comfortable
  • Wear all year round

I am so loving the cut out boots this season, these bad boys are big on trend after making quite a statement in the short summer we had in the U.K. Even better for my favourite season, Autumn/Winter 2013 they are bigger, better and bolder :) so flaunt a bit'a flesh haha.
I love winter wear because its all layers and more layers but these cut out boots just knock that out the window with its cut out style!

I've put together a collection of cut out boots from different places on the internet to give you an idea of what is out there, with a little description by me along with my verdict.

£68.00
Suede boots can get muggy in this kind of weather so I try to stay away from these. They are different to the rock and roll look as there more feminine with it being a pointy toe style. I feel like the pointy toe also elongates the front of the shoe making the foot look big from the side. However the gold buckled straps are different to the others that I have seen which are really pretty but again I prefer the bold look. Also unsure of comfortability, looking at the collection this pair do not have a platform heel which I tend to find difficult to wear all day.

Verdict: 3/5

  • £65.00
First point > Expensive boots! I think these are a lovely pair of boots again different to some others considering the unusual cut out shape, gold toe detailing, two different buckle straps, and the detail on the back of the boots. I do feel like the gold toe detail elongates the shoe and making the foot look longer.

Verdict: 3/5

The more grungy look! I love it, I love the placement of the gold detail and the fact that they are available on Ebay makes it even better as I am ever so gutted about missing out on the Topshop Anchor cut out boots but these make it that little bit less painful!

Verdict: 5/5

£24.99
Best choice for versatile wear because there are just so many different types out there and so the fact that they are just a pair of the classic Chelsea boots but they are a lot snazzier with cut out detailing and gold buckles. Great in the rain too - fabric wise, not in including the cut out of course and easier to clean then suede.
(Dupe: 7. Shanwee Leather Buckled Cut Out Boots In Black)
Verdict: 4/5

£40.00
A little less crazy than some, very plain old Jane for the price. Again, similar to the classic Chelsea boots with silver pin buckles.
Verdict: 2/5

£30.00

Again, another kind of Chelsea styled boots in Suede material with plain Jane silver pin buckles. I must say I do love the cut out detail and although they are not quite as pointy as the Topshop ones (N.o 1) they give it a much nicer feminine look, very casual but easy to glam up an outfit for evening wear.
Verdict: 4/5

So what is your verdict?

Also, I recently found these two low-heeled pair of cut out boots that I believe are very swanky.
