Happiness is taking a long, hot bubble bath ...

Got a crush on Lush
Right to left: Madame Butterfly and Mum Tulip

Whilst visiting my boyfriend at University I decided to go Lush shopping with him because I knew he'd enjoy that as its not as repetitive as clothe's shopping. Bare in mind it was my first time and to be honest with you it wasn't great because I'm one of those people that don't like being bombarded with staff hovering and asking and talking to you whilst you try to enjoy shopping. As much as they are only trying to be nice I know but I just like to shop in peace and if I need help I never hesitate to ask... So anyway the whole time we was in there they literally did not stop talking to us which ruined the first time experience a little but maybe it was because we was like the only customers in there at the time and it was near to closing. I knew I definitely wanted to pick up a wand after missing out on the Christmas Magic wand bubble bar so their new limited editions were the mothers day 'The Mum', 'Mum Tulip' and 'Madame Butterfly' wands. The lady even demonstrated them and I wasn't going to say no but I wasn't keen on the 'Mum' wand so I also wanted to pick up a bath bomb which I couldn't choose between the 'Creamy Candy' and 'Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment' bubbles bar's.

Flush that Lush

It was only till I got home and tried them out that I have never been so disappointed. Honestly I don't know whether it was just me (I think it was me) and the fact that I swished it around in the bath once the water had stopped running but it did absolutely nothing in terms of colour, smell or foam although there was ONE highlight of the whole experience...the rose oils. I could feel the oils on my skin soaking in which was lovely.

It was odd to think that the overpowering smell you get just it being inside the packaging just didn't come through in the water. I was so gutted after waiting such a long time to buy Lush products and then to wait even longer to bring them home from my boyfriends place.

After swirling in Mum Tulip as well it did show somewhat colour and a sense of fragrance but it still didn't look like the demonstration shown at the shop. I think the Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment was ruined because I just crumbled it in the bath to save myself having a disappointing bubble bath which just got worse as that didn't work either. (I should have known better as its been said and shown that you should run in directly under the tap whilst running your bath so I won't repurchase the same one but I will get the Creamy Candy Bar this time and hopefully do it right and my bath will be full of lushness!

"Simply turn on your bath taps and swish it around in the water for a few seconds – or until you’ve got enough bubbles in your tub. Then pop it on the side to use another time - these look particularly nice in a vase on the side. It goes rock hard until you’re ready to use it again – how many baths will you get out of it? Here’s the important part – before you get in, make sure you have a watering can or jug to hand. Then once you’ve finished wallowing in the lovely waters, you can dip your jug into the bath, scoop up some of that nutrient filled water and water all your plants around the house and garden (just remember to put a dressing gown on first if you go outside!)"  Lush.co.uk
