Spring Forward | OOTD

16 days later and I'm finally blogging. I'm not going to go on about why I haven't blogged - there's no excuse! So anyway its officially turned to the season of Spring!! I have been dying for a little bit of sun, especially as I've been trying to keep fit and tone and what not.. I'm just merely excited for dresses, skirts, play-suits, the lot. I think there's just so much more to play around with in the warmer seasons.






The leather jacket was from River Island with an amazing 25% off because it was voted by people on Facebook. I had already latched eyes on to this product in the store so it would have been rude of me not to take advantage of this. ^.^  I snapped it up in a size 8 and fell in love with it straight away, it was a little longer than my Topshop one which was different as I didn't want a similar jacket to the one I already had. I paired it with my floral lace dress in cream from Forever21 and my printed scarf from new look as the weathers is not yet at boiling point. The boots are also from River Island which I wore with my Topshop ankle socks. The holdall is from Topshop, I think its a great size and it also has a shoulder strap.
*Towards the evening it got a little nippy of which I stuck some tights on.*

Review | Pro Conceal And Correct Palette




I have been through quite a lot of concealers from high end brands to drug-store products.  I don't actually believe I have found a miracle but something sustainable and consistent which of course is the M.A.C pro concealer and correct palette in Medium. Most of my high end concealers have been from M.A.C: Studio Finish SPF35, Pro Longwear Concealer and the Select Cover-up. All of concealers I have bought have mostly caked on my skin and become very dry and patchy, although it could be a mix of change in facial care as I stopped using my Olay toner and cleanser along with whatever face wash I would use at the time, but this concealer blends into my skin so well. As I was buying a M.A.C concealer I was also desperate to buy an eye cream, M.A.C's Fast Response Eye Cream. Now this worked miracles! I had been using the M.A.C eye cream for about 3 months or more and until it ran out I decided to switch it up and see what the Origins eye cream would bring. I loved the eye cream from M.A.C but I just wanted to see what all the hype was about for the Originz eye cream and so far so good, I don't think I can compare it to the M.A.C one just yet as I have only used it for a couple of weeks. 
Although this concealer does not eliminate my dark circles, I use it every day and for that I reason I bought another one as I am running out. I apply NC35 to correct my dark circles before applying any foundation (M.A.C Studio Sculpt SPF15 in NC35) and then I apply NW35 to conceal under and around the eye and  lastly, I use the Mid-Yellow to highlight and brighten up my brow and cheek bones, just so its more natural-looking than a highlighter product. M.A.C do four shades - Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Dark. They are pretty much worth it as you get four shades to conceal the eye and two to correct. Get yours here!

Application: The best way to apply this palette is with your fingers as the texture is quite thick so it is easier to blend in with your fingers as it may need warming up. I pat this in with my Real Techniques Setting Brush as I feel that it takes the shine away but I don't use powder.

Botanical Gardens


New Look Botanical Print 3/4 Sleeve Tile Tunic


Hi guys, this awesome tunic dress from New Look is an amazing piece for upcoming Spring season but as a casual day dress I thought it definitely needed a pair of black sheer tights as it did come up quite short on me but only when sitting down. I paired this dress with my high heeled, black ankle booties from Forever 21 and my Zara mini office city bag. For me, there wasn't a need for any necklaces to be worn with this dress as the floral print has a lot going on. But maybe some casual low heeled boots and frilly socks would work perfectly in the summer!

My Birthday Wishlist | 2nd March

Only 1 day away and I will be turning 23 on the 2nd of March. Such a good excuse to have put together a wish list of some birthday goodies and hopefully give some of you an idea of what to get for a Birthday Girl! *Although of course it is based on my liking*.

. . . because every girl can dreamright?


*Disclaimer: I decided to put this wish list up a day before my birthday because, for those that are aware of my blog - it would mean that this would be more of a hint for what I would like for my birthday and that just isn't my style.*

1. I have been on a rampage searching for casual black booties for a versatile wear, because although Spring is nearly upon us I still like to style Spring outfits with ankle boots and most importantly, in black. I am also in love with my River Island gold buckle, cut out ankle boots, so I am in need of a couple more different pairs and these are great because they have silver detailing which means I would then own a gold and silver pair! 

2. Mascaras are a daily wear product for me and I havn't fallen in love with a mascara product since  L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara which was quite a while back where I also did a review post here on all my current mascaras at that time. This product is constantly raved about that I just feel the need to try it out myself! 

3. Perfumes are another daily wear product of course, for me anyway and I think its that time where I need a new perfume as the last time I bought one was December'12 from River Island called Paris. This new scent from Jimmy Choo is divine just like their other perfumes that I also love but with this being the latest edition me thinks it is an edition to add to my perfume collection! 

4. I treated myself to a beautiful black coat last Winter from Dorothy Perkins which was above the £50 mark and it wasn't until I realised that most of my bottom wear is usually black and it doesn't look great to match a black coat with black bottoms all the time (I do own other colour coats though). This is why I am quite annoyed I spent that much on a coat that wasn't really beneficial although I have tried to make good wear out of it. I have been on the hunt to find a grey marl sort of colour because this - I love but sadly its also above the £50 mark. But who knows.. one day maybe.

5. Another product that is continuously raved about is the Urban Decay Primer Potion but I don't really tend to wear eye shadow unless I am going out somewhere different than the casual stroll to town so when I do I would like to go all out and make sure I've got a good base and a great palette to use on top. I would rather love to see the awesomeness of this product and even better, it can also be worn alone! 

6. I have seen these little beauties on Beautycrush on her '3 Date Night Outfits' video on YouTube and although she has amazing legs and I don't these shoes look a m a z i n g and i n c r e d i b l e and I love the shape of the heel and platform and also the nude colour because I find that the nude coloured strap elongates the leg even more!

7. It's not often that I curl my hair as I have natural curls but they tend to frizz out and what not so when I do leave my hair naturally curly I tend to use my GHD straighteners to define some of the curls a bit more. But this isn't fun and its gets get a little irritating so I have been longing for a curling wand because they are so handy and easier to use than curling tongs which I have also experienced. Its just a must to add to my electrical hair appliances! 

8. Big lover of board games but a hater of losing :D I have played this a few times back at University which was so much fun and ever since I have just really wanted it because board games are a must in my life, I mean who doesn't love a good board game. The last board game I got was Logo which is brilliant! However, it only ever usually consists of two people playing - myself and my other half but its still fun until I lose, if I lose that is of course!

9. At first I was pinning for any good nude/natural, matte eye shadow palette and I did have my eye on the Urban Decay Naked palette until I saw some reviews on the Smashbox Palette that I knew I had to have it because honestly I don't rate the Sleek Palettes that I currently have! 

10. So there is a Music Festival coming to Birmingham near me in June '13 called the Wireless Festival - check out the link and see the line up!!! Another must - I have to go! I have never been to a music festival as much as I have always wanted to the whole camping out isn't me I think but this is near me and it means I can still sleep in my comfy bed! 

 11. Last but not least another casual and versatile pair of black ankle boots to add to my collection of boots because I'm non stop wearing out my River Island booties!

Lush: Creamy Candy








Oh my golly gosh... so you never guess what I found lingering in the back of my cupboard! Oh yes Creamy Candy Vanilla Bubble Barrrrrrrrrrrrrr - from Lush of course :)
It was only until yesterday that I needed a good hot bubble bath. I was so excited because obviously after my unfortunate experience with the last Lush bar/bomb that I had used wrongly, I checked it out on their website where I also read the reviews that were ever so enticing! So after checking it out carefully on the Lush website I knew to crumble it under the running water and look what a wonderful surprise a bubbly, lovely smelling bath :D 

I loved the fact that for a few seconds the colour of the water went pink haha but the smell was divine like a mix of bubble gum and candy floss - so good and I love anything Vanilla as long as its not too overpowering and becomes sickly! Lush website states that ... it "has a blend of almond and cocoa butter" which I totally could tell from the feel of my skin after my bath I even sat there rubbing in of what was left on my skin after pulling the plug. 

Some of the reviews said that they could maybe get two uses out of this but I think I'd have to disagree with that and say one bar was enough for one use for me, but I'm happy with that because I love lots of bubbles hence why I can sometimes use a whole bottle of Radox bubble bath (oops). I'd definitely get this again but first I must get the 'Love Locket'!!

Review | January Glossybox 2014 - Back to Basics




Now that I have tested out all the products in last months Glossybox, I can honestly still say that I was not satisfied with the items. I was extremely excited to get this box seeing as I was so over the moon about the Christmas edition box but when I opened it the only thing I liked was the new baby pink colour but my box was a little bit dented on one of the edges so that was annoying. And then to then open it and see the smallest of items that just rolled around the not-so-full box was depressing. So anyway after such a long time of it sitting around in my room I decided to try out the products.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Floral Slanted Tweezers - full size (RRP £8.00)
I love the cute, flowery design on these tweezers because they look quite pretty and girly compared to the cheap looking metal ones out there. As for quality they have a thicker piece of metal at the bottom unlike the ones I am using at the moment which I love because its easier and quicker to pluck out unwanted hair. Rating: 5/5

Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash - 50ml (RRP £10.25 for 250ml)
The packaging of this bottle didn't entice me at all and opening it and smelling the body wash wasn't appealing compared to what I've read about it having a 'lovely scent'. I wouldn't go and buy a full size product to say the least. Rating: 1/5

Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream - 2x 3g sample size (RRP £13.50 for 33g)
I wouldn't recommend this cream for a couple reasons. One of them being that it has a horrible smell to it, even though it states that the smell should disappear after a short while which it does, but even then I don't like the idea of having to rub it onto my face or on my lips, which are the two areas the cream is primarily for. The texture of the cream has a thick,sticky and greasy feeling to it that doesn't absorb into the skin quickly meaning I have to wait for it to sink into my skin before applying my make-up.  Rating: 2/5


Anatomicals Puffy the Eye Bag Slayer Wake Up Under Eye Patches -x2 (RRP £6.00 for a pack of 3) 
I didn't enjoy wearing the eye patches for 30 minutes as I found it to be quite a nuisance when blinking as I sat and watched TV but, I honestly loved the end results! The area underneath my eyes had felt ever so refreshed (I loved that feeling). I would happily pay the full price and I would get over the fact that my bug my eyes when blinking. It was also refreshing to try something new that I have not heard of before. Rating: 4.5/5

Vaseline Essential Moisture Lotion - 50ml (RRP £4.99 for 400ml)
To receive a Vaseline product in a Glossybox was very disappointing, more so that it was a travel size bottle and a very basic cream. I don't disapprove of the brand but its just that receiving an item that is more out the ordinary would've been a better treat. So for me this was a basic cream that I probably won't even use as I have others that I would rather pack for travelling purposes. Rating: 2/5

Weekend Wishlist #02



This top rated eye cream has been on my wishlist ever since I saw it on so many blog posts and You Tube videos. I have currently been using M.A.C Fast Response Eye Cream, which has done me wonders as can see the improvements where my concealer doesn't crease and become dry. I have now ran out and would love to try this raved about product to see what the hype is all about.

I remember when this Palette was coming out and I mentioned it once or twice to my lovely boyfriend who decided to surprise me with it and even better, it was my shade! I have used it ever since but it was only last year that I began using this everyday rather than just using it here and there. I also put away my M.A.C Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer that at least I thought I loved until I used this. What's even better is that I have used all the shades in this palette making it worth the price - (which I don't think is bad).

I wasn't even merely looking for a Leather Jacket, it was only since I came across this in the RI store and tried it on and fell in love and as I always tend to fall out of love with my most worn coats/jackets I believe it is the time to upgrade. Black leather jackets - so versatile! 

I saw this mug in the Disney Store and I just think I fell for the colour more than anything. I love this Lilac colour, that's all I can say! Oh and that it would be so lovely for soups seeing as I'm not a hot beverage addict. 

Lush always have something exciting when its an occasion! I was searching through the website and found this little cutie but it wasn't even the fact that it was a Valentine special more that it has little hearts inside!

It's a must to have a basic, sort of natural everyday palette in my make up collection because the ones I have currently are not doing anything exciting for me and again another product that is continuously raved about makes me want it more.

Hi Beaut's I decided to review Decembers Glossybox as individual items simply because I have other ideas in reviewing them.

The one item that jumped out straight away was the Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Sensitive Care Razor which I was truly excited for when I saw this as it was the first thing in the box that drew me to the razor! It was even better because it was a full size product and the packaging was even lovely. It was the most delightful thing in there because razors can be quite expensive and especially the good ones. At the moment, for a while now I have been using the Wilkinson Sword Quattro for Women Bikini Razor because it is a 2-in-1 product and I believe for the price I'd got it at (which was roughly half price or something - maybe £5.00) was worth it and that way I could keep the ladies department smooth and hair free as well as other areas such as my legs. However I found the razor part to be quite basic and nothing out the ordinary but it does give a good close shave. I then found the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor, again for a cheaper price when on offer which was moisturises and lathers up the skin when wet but the razor and refills are expensive when not on offer.

The product comes with an attached soap around the razor and that outer part, when wet lathers up the skin therefore there is no need for shaving gel. I am unsure about how many uses you can get out of this product though but I use mine every 3 to 4 days since I received the box three weeks ago. It states that it is a 3-in-1 razor as it shaves, lathers and moisturises which I believe so too and although I do not have sensitive skin I tend to find that my skin was a lot smoother and softer compared to my previous razors and I don't feel the need to moisturise. You don't even feel the razor on your skin, it is very easy to use and it has a very close shave. Overall, a great product, inexpensive and loved by many women.

2True Effortless Eyeliner Review

Shade 1 / Black


The 2True effortless eye-liner is more or a less an everyday product for me that I wear when I feel like putting on liquid liner. The first time I picked this up was purely for the fact that I needed a cheap liquid liner for my Halloween look, which I found at Superdrug (U.K store) for £1.99! I actually can't remember when it was that I began using it as part of my make up routine, but for roughly a year I can remember that I have not changed it as I've not needed to, even though I like trying new stuff I'd rather stick to this where I have little fault with the product. Although it states that it is a 'rich precision liner' I can say that if I came across a thinner and a more precise wand I would definitely try it out but at the moment nothing has caught my eye as I'm not on a hunt for one and I'm too comfy with this one. I can't say that I honestly think it is easy to apply because with its tapered-like-wand it is quite thick so I do spend a while trying to get it perfect, but then there's also some days where it just goes on so easily and without a fuss. The packaging no doubt is quite cheap as you'd expect for a £1.99 product but nothing that I am really fussed about and I even like the pink metallic writing on it. It has lasted me quite a while for an everyday product.
I also love it because it dries matte and it is also long lasting but not so much as 24 hours which is fine by me because again for the price I'm happy to re-apply which is rare. Overall, its an amazing liquid eye liner and for the price I can't complain and I'm happy to stick with till something exciting pops out - so let me know if I'm missing out on any excellent eye liners!

Weekend Wishlist




1. Waterstones | The Fault in Our Stars | £5.59
I have been searching for a good book for ages and finally I stumbled across a review on this book and I found so many more reviews that loved the book but without the reviews I was taken by the blurb as it reminded me of 'It's Kind of a Funny Story' - By Ned Vizinni.

2. Topshop | Mini Angled Holdall Bag | £36.00
I previously bought a holdall like this from Topshop also in a burgundy, cream and black mix of colours, very similar. I just fell in love with it as they are great sizes and the neutral colours will go with my style.

3. Jo Malone | Orange Blossom Home Candle | £39.00
The Jo Malone products, especially the candles are quite raved about as I have seen many times and it was about time that I purchased one as my love for candles are forever burning ;) so maybe who knows a treat :/ I went for the Orange scent because the citrus smell is one of my favourites.

4. H&M | Black Boots | £24.99
These plain simple and versatile boots will be amazing for casual wear or to dress down an outfit even but even better perfect for the rain but to me an all year round product.

5. New Look | Pink Double Pocket Mohair Textured Longline Coat | £54.99
Pastels for Winter are great, still showing your true colours can be quite fun during the dull season and I own very bright or dark colour coats nothing in-between so this would be perfect but quite expensive as I spent enough on coats last December.

6. Regal Rose | Noah. Antique Silver Rainbow Moonstone Ring | £15.00
Another item I have never owned - a Regal Rose ring I have my eye on many but sadly those of which that are sold out!! *Awaiting to be notified*

December's Glossybox: Christmas Edition

Hello Puddings :) 
It's a shame to say I have not purchased a Glossybox since January 13' which I wrote a post about last years Christmas Edition also. I got an email from Glossybox in December about there amazing offer 'Two December boxes for the price of £20 *Including P+P and I didn't want to not pass them up on that offer! Although I had now come to realise that I got it wrong because I was expecting two different boxes one being a Christmas edition and the other being the January 14' edition. But no, the two boxes I received were identical unexpectedly for me I was slightly bummed out only till I realised at least this means I can enjoy what I like from the first box, twice. Looking at the plus side its more of a gain than a loss, especially when I found out that I got two Seche Nail polish's and both in great shades (Irresistible and Simplicity)!!  Totally my fault for not reading "Two December Boxes..." hence the "Treat yourself and a friend..." What a peanut!







It was a lovely gift from my other half after forwarding him the email, it was so nice to open after a year since my last one that I bought myself. The red box was a delight and the red trimmed tissue paper inside was quite festive and Christmas-y. I did think that for Christmas edition box it would have included some sort of festive treat like they are currently doing with their wedding edition. But overall I do love the items, I wear mascara daily as I never leave the house without it, so its nice to have a new one (or two) to try out. I tend to spend a good but inexpensive amount on my shavers/razors because they can be quite expensive so again lovely to try something new because I have used the same one for quite a while. The lip-gloss isn't exactly a riveting product for me because I prefer my lipsticks and especially in a matte finish. Like I've already mentioned I am in love with Seche and for the colours I received, I was so happy. Hand cream is a product that I keep in my handbag and try to use as much as I can but I also like to keep it cheap. Really looking forward to testing these beauties and I will be reviewing them. 

I can't wait to see what lies ahead for the monthly Glossybox products and hopefully I will latch onto a box that I will want to purchase!

New Year, New Treats

Happy New Year! 

So its 2014 which for me has come around ever so quick, there's a lot that needs to be done this year but I won't reveal all just yet. One major thing is to get blogging and do some more blogging. Keeping on top of things and being more organised is a must! I know some people don't have 'New Years Resolutions' and think of it as empty hopefuls but to be honest, personally I don't quite gel well with the concept. For me, a race against time, not a patience one me. 
Anyway I want to show you all the little and big things I have treated myself to this January *so far*. Its quite a random mix such as socks - because as my mother says my fetish's just keep on growing  - I'm sure last month it was hats :)

 These adorable floral boxes that come in three different sizes were so worth £8.00 from ASDA. I bought them purely because I knew I would use them somehow. And as I already said I want to be more organised this year and one way to start is to buy storage :) haha so I did and they are so pretty in my room so far I have only use the two bigger sizes for my scarves and hats. 

My fetish this week, or month are socks preferable black socks or dark coloured socks but with some kind of detail because for me dark coloured socks make my feet look smaller even if I am a size 4/5. Oddity, I know. Grabbed from ASDA at £3. On the hunt for way more.



My two new ASOS Jumpers! I am loving winter my absolute favourite season. *Minus the vicious winds and rain.* It's so easy to style Jumpers and Knitwear hence why I am still buying them I love the dark red shades such as red wine, aubergine, burgundy, prune, maroon and so on and so on. *I also purchased the burgundy Jumper in Navy*



Candles! Another fetish as I like to call them just like my mother does when she teases me about my non stop shopping splurges.
I bought my other half Umesh, the Yankee 12 Sampler Christmas Book Gift Set and I did manage to steal myself one. Although it was lovely that we both said for me to take some of the ones I liked :) I forgot so as for now I have zilch. I bought a couple from ASDA for £1 - I chose one and Ume chose one except I've still got both and both smell delish'. I then came across the new Febreeze candles that I couldn't resist for £2, I love the size of them too.

My two ASOS chunky knit scarves are my Winter favourites this month because I don't own any. I was looking for some cream coloured ones as I'm more suited towards black and neutral colours but failed. :(
